A lively floral design, Emmeline has been developed in the Colefax design studio from an early 20th century block printed fabric and retains its charmingly naive character. The stylized flowers and leaves seem to be drawn from many decorative traditions incorporating an enticing variety of forms and patterns. Emmeline is given a painterly treatment and an exuberant colour range enhancing its evocative character. Eye-catching as the centre of a scheme, Emmeline would also work well with jacquards and small prints to create a more eclectic feel.
