- Hand-embroidered on traditional clothing or painted on houses, geometric designs are characteristic of Ndebele art in South Africa. The colours and symbolic designs of these wallpaintings express the identity of the members of the tribe and have positive meanings. Of Ndebele heritage, the South African artist Esther Mahlangu has inspired Casamance to create this linen and cotton fabric. An over-embroidered digital print, it combines different materials and contrasting colours.
